1. Load Your Content
Just drag in songs from your CDs or directly 
from your iTunes music library, and Backbone Radio does everything for you. It fetches your song/artist/album/copyright info and album artwork from the Apple iTunes Store and tags your music for you. It even loads in the URL to buy the song, so listeners can click to buy. You can also record your own audio clips direct to disk and use them for commercials, announcements, etc. All of this content goes into your Station's Content Library, which is just like an iTunes Library for your automated radio programs.
2. Program Your Shows for Uninterrupted Operation
For those times when you won't be on the air live, you'll want to use the extremely powerful Backbone Automation System
(it's part of your Mac app) to build a few playlists, using the Content you just loaded. Just drag and drop from your library to create the playlists and to reorder your songs within them. You can build just the playlists you want, and schedule all your playlists one after the other in sequence or at precise times, even weeks or months in advance. Even better, you can build playlist Templates (called Rotational Playlists) that play just the kinds of music or content you want, automatically selected by the Automation system. That means you can create just a few Templates and always have fresh, new content playing, without having to lift a finger again. More about Automation.
3. Broadcast & Analyze
Now for the fun part. Just click on your app's Live Microphone button, and you're on the air. Want to play a recorded interview or commercial? Select one or more playlist items then click the Play button, and click Mic when you want to go Live again. Then take a look to find how many people are listening now, or how many in the last hour, day, week, or month. And where they were listening from, worldwide. And track what songs or commercials they were hearing. And whether they were listening from their computers or their iPhones!
